From fibre to form

Where threads weave a story

Each surface holds the imprint of its making—fine counts, gentle textures, and quiet irregularities that lend depth, softness, and life to every Hiranya piece.

Hiranya fabrics

The
Weave
Library

At Hiranya, every piece begins with the fabric.

We work closely with handloom weavers to create textiles rooted in tradition, yet quietly evolved over time. Many of our cottons and khadis are woven in finer counts, making them softer, lighter, and more breathable on the skin.

Over the years, we have developed quiet signatures of our own—from zari check linen and lighter Kota Jamdani to tie-dyed khadi yarn translated into zari polka jamdani. Each textile is shaped slowly, with care and intention. These are not changes for novelty, but for nuance—so familiar fabrics can feel new without losing their integrity.

At Hiranya, the textile is not just the starting point. It is the reason the garment exists.

Khadi

Handspun and handwoven, khadi holds the rhythm of the human hand. Its gentle irregularities and airy structure make it a fabric that evolves with you. At Hiranya, it is explored through checks, natural indigo dyeing, and intricate interventions like jamdani and cord techniques—subtly elevating its raw, lived-in character.

At Hiranya, khadi is not just worn—it is
experienced, slowly and intimately.

Handwoven Cotton

Our handwoven cotton is crafted in finer counts, chosen not only for its refined finish but for its exceptional softness against the skin. Alongside, airy muslin and handwoven mul are used thoughtfully—for comfort, layering, and ease in warmer climates.

Silk Cotton

Blending the softness of cotton with the subtle sheen of silk, silk cotton offers a balance of comfort, lightness, and gentle structure. At Hiranya, we further develop the fabric through our corded stripe technique—introducing texture and dimension directly into the weave while retaining its fluidity and ease.

In silk cotton, texture becomes a quiet
language of detail.

Handwoven Silk Tissue

Tightly woven with a rich metallic surface, our handwoven silk tissue is developed in deep, nuanced tones like coffee gold, green gold, black silver, and copper—moving away from conventional metallic palettes. At Hiranya, we further reinterpret the fabric through distinctive pastel stripe constructions, creating layered textures and woven patterns rarely seen in silk tissue.

We approach silk tissue with depth,
structure, and quiet luminosity.
